Buffalo milk is more thicker and contains slightly more vitamins and minerals than cow milk. However, buffalo milk is more preferred due to following reasons:
The fat and protein of buffalo milk are high in nutrition value than those of cow milk.

The percentage of volatile and soluble acids is greater in buffalo ghee, and consequently it is more easily digested.
Buffalo milk, being easily digestible, is more beneficial to patients than cow milk.
Cow milk contains high amount of acids which release a lot of gas after consumption, where as buffalo milk is low on acids which can be easily digested.
